New Zealand mint recently released NEW limited edition, 3-year coin series to celebrate New Zealand’s most loved native icon - the kiwi. Different design will be issued annually over the next three years, celebrating uniqueness of the country with the kiwi bird.

Each year, a new coin will be designed featuring a kiwi. The pure gold and silver legal tender coins offer contemporary style, and VERY limited editions – in 2009, gold kiwi had 1,500 coins minted only and silver kiwi – 7,500 coins.
