The Perth Mint is proud to announce the second proof issue from its iconic Australian Koala Gold Coin Series. This gold coin is proof quality 99.99% Pure Gold and struck from 1/10 oz of 99.99% pure gold.
Koala Reverse Design. The reverse of each 2009 coin depicts a koala sitting on a tree branch eating gum leaves. The design incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
Australian Legal Tender. Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, each coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse.
